Michael Pedroni brings 30 years of experience in financial policymaking, regulatory advocacy, and economic leadership. He has served four U.S. Treasury Secretaries under Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
At the U.S. Treasury Department, Michael established and led the Markets Room during the 2008 global financial crisis, serving as a primary liaison with financial markets and briefing Presidents and Treasury Secretaries. From 2013 to 2016, he served as Treasury’s most senior representative in Europe, acting as Financial Attaché to the European Union in Brussels. Upon returning to Washington, Michael led White House interagency coordination on economic and financial policy.
In the private sector, Michael held C-suite roles at the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and the Managed Funds Association (MFA), leading global policy engagement on behalf of asset managers across mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, and private credit. He has also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the International Monetary Fund, and has chaired private-sector advisory committees at IOSCO.
Michael holds a B.A. from Yale University and a master’s degree in international economic policy and finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. A Fulbright Scholar in Germany, he speaks German and Italian and is conversational in French.
